PDO Thread lifting

PDO Thread lifting | Dr Christine

This is an innovative technique of non-surgical face rejuvenation. PDO Thread Lifting is a treatment which lifts and tightens sagging skin tissue, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO). The threads is inserted into the deeper layers of the skin and has mainly 3 effects in the skin

  • Instant Skin Lifting through mechanical effects
  • Collagen stimulation, and neovascularisation to improve skin texture, fine lines and elasticity
  • Skin Tightening, by contracting fat tissue

About 6 months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear as it is absorbed by the skin. The lifted facial contours will remain for about 3-6 months.

PRP skin Needling "Vampire Facial"

PRP is Plasma rich platelets. This is a skin needling technique where we draw the patient’s blood and use a medical device to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. Your plasma contains several different growth factors and cytokines. This boosts gathering of stem cells around the damaged area and stimulates cellular proliferation and tissue regeneration. We use the patient’s own blood – thus no risk for allergic reactions. This results in immediate rejuvenation of skin. Improvement of

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Skin pores and elasticity: reduction of pore size, better skin tone and elasticity
  • Pigmentation
  • Acne & Acne scarring

Botulinum Toxin & more

Botulinum Toxin injections are used for fine lines and wrinkles. It is mainly indicated for use in the upper face at frown lines, the forehead and crow's feet. Other uses for Botulinum Toxin include: excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), muscle spasms, migraines and blepharospasm. Botulinum Toxin is effective and safe. Side effects include: redness and swelling at injection site, headaches, drooping of the upper eyelid - this is a rare complication and can be avoided by choosing an experienced injector. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and results will show within 7-14 days. The effect of Botulinum Toxin lasts 4-6 months, but is patient-specific.

Mesotherapy

Aesthetic anti-ageing mesotherapy globally targets the consequences of skin ageing and the causes. This technique can ideally be combined with fillers, Botulinum Toxin, chemical peels and laser. Mesotherapy treatment has no risk and down time is minimal. Small quantities of a specific serum is injected into the intradermal layer by way of multiple injections. A "nappage" technique is used over the face, neck, décolleté and back of the hands. This procedure is safe for all skin types. Indications for use: Dull skin, dehydration (face and neck), Sagging skin (décolleté), loss of suppleness (inner thigh and arms)

Advanced skin needling

Dermapen’s advanced skin needling technology uses multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When moved across the skin’s surface it stimulates natural collagen reproduction, whilst allowing fine channels to be created in the skin.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are mainly used to enhance the lower face. It addresses volume loss that is the main factor in the ageing process.

Indications for use of dermal fillers:

  • fine lines and wrinkles ( for example: naso-labial folds, around mouth, mouth corners)
  • cheek volume
  • "liquid facelift" (in combination with Botulinum Toxin)
  • Lip enhancement

To give the best possible result - a combination of aesthetic procedures(Botulinum Toxin, filler, mesotherapy & chemical peels) is usually recommended.

Medical Chemical Peels

Medical Chemical Peels | Dr Christine

Although we cannot stop ageing at all – we can slow down the process of ageing. By taking good care of our skin, drinking enough water, sleeping well and by being sun-smart.

Chemical peels are used to treat dull complexion, sun-damage, fine lines and wrinkles, acne and hyperpigmentation.

It is a safe procedure that incorporates different ingredients to treat specific skin conditions. For example: salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid and TCA.

Treatments intervals are usually 2-4 weeks depending on your skin's specific needs. The most important after care is a barrier cream to apply on dry areas, staying out of the sun and sun protection creams.

The specific chemical peels are chosen according to the patient's needs and our expert team will gladly discuss treatment options to fit your specific profile.
